The review article “Molecular correlates of mitochondrial dysfunctions in major depression: evidence from clinical and rodent studies” by Virginie Rappeneau, Lars Wilmes and Chadi Touma has been accepted for publication in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience. It provides a critical overview of important molecular correlates of mitochondrial dysfunction (i.e. mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative stress, oxidative damages and apoptosis) in major depression based on findings from clinical studies and stress-induced rodent models.
The article belongs to the Special Issue on Stress Resilience. It can be accessed at https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1044743120301780.
