Basic module Biology - Behavioral Biology

In the basic module Biology, students should acquire basic scientific competencies in the discipline. They acquire basic knowledge of selected principles of biology and develop an understanding of biological processes and relationships. They will recognize general biological principles and will be able to apply them to new situations.

The behavioral biology part includes 6 lecture units as well as an exercise part.

Lecture Behavioral Biology: Basic concepts of ethology, control of behavior, communication, learning, social organization and mating systems, planning and conducting behavioral studies.

Exercises Behavioral Biology: Introduction to experimental planning, design, and analysis; introduction to basic statistics. Experiment on the genetic basis of emotional behavior.
